Abertis, the motorway developer and operator owned by Mundys and ACS, has acquired a 100% stake in the A-63 motorway located in southwest France.

Having acquired a 51% stake from AXA nearly a year ago, Abertis has now further increased its investment, acquiring the remaining 49% of the asset from the non-controlling shareholders, HICL Infrastructure, CVC DIF and NGE Autoroutes.

The A-63 is a 105-kilometre three-lane dual carriageway connecting Salles and Saint-Geours-de-Marenne. This is a key route for light and heavy goods vehicles travelling between France and Spain, linking Bordeaux, with a population of over one million and home to major scientific and engineering facilities, and the cities of Bayonne, Biarritz, Anglet and Saint-Jean-de-Luz.

The decision to also acquire the non-controlling interests reflects our renewed commitment to investment in France and Europe, further strengthening Abertis’s portfolio of motorway assets.

The acquisition guarantees the business’s solidity and sustainability, reflecting the type of asset, which represents a strategic corridor for Europe, and the 25-year duration of the concession. In financial terms, the French operator generated revenue of approximately €179 million and EBITDA of €138 million in 2025.
