Argentina, with Italian grandparents: Maria José, in fact, goes by her last name “Giacomelli.”

We meet her on her way home after grocery shopping and picking up the last few things at the stationery store for her son who starts school again tomorrow after the summer break.

She has lived in Santiago since 2009 and finds this city more organized and structured than Buenos Aires. Whichever way you move, it is easy to get around and the infrastructure is constantly evolving.
