Maddalena is Italian, she’s 42 years old and from Pavia. She and her whole family moved to Santiago a few months ago because her husband works for an international company that sent him here for the next 4 years.

The first impact on the city is positive: her two children are experiencing school with enthusiasm and curiosity, and Maddalena and her husband are making a nice circle of friends and contacts. The Chilean people are very welcoming.

They notice two main differences from Italy: the way they move around the city, and the almost “bubble” division of neighborhoods. In any case, they are learning their way around, appreciating how the internal highways in Santiago work.
