We would like to be and are recognised as one of the Italian listed companies most focused on environmental and social sustainability, and on the efficiency and transparency of our governance. In fact, today we were included in the MIB ESG Index, the first blue-chip index in Italy to feature leading public companies with a strong ESG track record.
This major recognition is a further confirmation of how, as part of our renewal process, sustainability and innovation play a key role to foster value generation in the companies in which we invest as a long-term shareholder, with the aim of creating shared value for all stakeholders.
Admission to the MIB ESG Index follows the confirmation of our inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series, which ranks leading global companies based on their ESG practices and transparency, and significant upgrades of our ESG ratings by leading international agencies such as MSCI, Vigeo-Eiris (a part of Moody’s ESG Solutions) and GRESB, an agency that specialises in the assessment of infrastructure businesses.
