Alessandro Benetton is Chairman of Mundys since March 2026.
After building his professional career in the private equity sector, in 2022 he was appointed Chairman of Edizione S.p.A., one of Europe’s largest holding companies, active in transportation and digital infrastructure, food & beverage, travel retail and manufacturing, with over 100,000 employees.
In 2023, he was named Honorary Chairman of Avolta Group, a leading global player in travel retail and food & beverage.
In 2025, with the support of Edizione S.p.A., Mundys and Aeroporti di Roma, he relaunched the Unhate Foundation as its Founder and Chairman, shaping its strategic vision and initiatives aimed at combating hate and promoting social inclusion.
A graduate with honors from Boston University and holder of an MBA from Harvard, he began his career at Goldman Sachs and later led the Benetton F1 team to three world titles.
A Knight of the Order of Merit for Labour, he received the Kennedy Award (2018) and the UNCA Global Advocate Award (2023) for his commitment to sustainability.

Manager with over thirty years of experience in the operational management of large companies, financial restructuring, and the industrial transformation of complex assets in strategic sectors.
After graduating in Economics from the University of Rome, he began his career at the Inter-American Development Bank. In 1995, he joined Acea as Head of Finance, subsequently serving as Chief of Strategy, Chief Financial Officer, and in 2003, Chief Executive Officer.

In 2009, he joined Telecom Italia as Group CFO and Executive Chairman of Telecom Italia Sparkle, the company responsible for the international wholesale business. From 2009 to 2012, he was also in charge of Telecom Italia's Enterprise Risk Management. In 2012, he served as Managing Director for International Business and became CEO of TIM Brasil. From 2013 to 2015, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sorgenia, one of the leading players in the Italian electricity generation market and the largest distressed asset in the Italian banking system, where he successfully led the financial restructuring and industrial recovery project. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of doValue, a leader in Southern Europe in the management and restructuring of distressed assets.
 

He also served as a board member of Amber Capital from 2009 to 2015 and as a board member and Investment Committee member of Marguerite, the Infrastructure Fund held by the national development banks of Italy, France, Spain, and Germany, during the same period.

Since May 2023, he has been Chief Executive Officer of Mundys and serves on the Board of Directors of Abertis, a Mundys subsidiary, where he is a member of the Audit, Control and Sustainability Committee and the Nominations and Remuneration Committee.

Diplomat and business executive with over forty years of experience in international relations management, national security, and leadership of major strategic organizations.
 

After graduating in Political Science from LUISS University in Rome, he entered the diplomatic service in 1978 and developed deep expertise in international politics and geopolitics. He held key roles including Deputy Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister, Chief of Staff, Director General of Political Affairs and Personnel at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From September 2007 to 2012, he served as Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From April 2008 to December 2009, he acted as Sherpa to the Prime Minister for the G8 and G20. From May 2012 to May 2016, he was Director General of the Department of Information for Security (DIS), where he led the management of geopolitical risk and national security. In May 2016, he was appointed Chairman of Fincantieri, serving until May 2022, exercising operational and strategic leadership at Italy's leading defense and shipbuilding company. Under his chairmanship, the Sustainability Committee was established and the first Sustainability Plan (2018–2022) was launched, positioning the company as “best in class” on ESG matters according to leading rating agencies. He also served as Chairman of the Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) from January 2017 to May 2024.
 

Chairman of Mundys from 2022 to March 2026, he currently serves as Vice Chairman of the company. During his chairmanship, he led investments in sustainable infrastructure and energy transition, aligning the company's strategy with environmental sustainability and inclusive economy goals. Since August 2021, he has been Chairman of Fincantieri NexTech, and in April 2026 he joined the Board of Directors of Banco BPM. He is a member of the Trilateral Commission and the Aspen Institute, organizations dedicated to values-based leadership and dialogue on critical global challenges. He directs the Geopolitical Risk Observatory at LUISS University and teaches national security and international relations at the LUISS University in Rome.

He is Chairman of Studio Laghi S.r.l. and Chairman of the Board of Directors of 2100 Ventures S.p.A. He currently serves as Vice Chairman and member of the Nomination Committee and the Remuneration Committee of Avolta, Director of Mundys - where he is also a member of the Investment and Remuneration Committee -, Abertis - where he is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and member of the Audit, Control and Sustainability Committee -, Edizione Property, and Destination 2027 Innovation. He was also a member of the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), the body that advises the European Commission on international accounting standards and sustainability standards.

He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Regia S.r.l., a real estate company and investment holding, as well as Sole Director of Property Due S.r.l., Regia Property S.r.l., Piazza Venezia S.r.l., and Saba S.r.l., all operating in the real estate sector. Since 2022, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Edizione, and since 2023 of Mundys, where he serves as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and as a member of the Control, Risk and Sustainability Committee. He is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Investire SGR and a member of the Board of Directors of Tecnica Group and Birra Castello S.p.A. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Venezia Terminal Passeggeri and as Standing Auditor of Willis Italia. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Banca Finnat Euramerica from 2009 to 2021.

Until 2015, he was Head of Planning, Control, and M&A at CIR Group (Automotive & Healthcare), where he coordinated the portfolio management strategy and risk monitoring.

Since 2015, he has been working for Edizione, one of the leading European industrial holdings - operating in infrastructure, food & beverage, travel retail, and manufacturing sectors -, where he serves as Chief Investment Officer. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Benetton Group and director and member of Capital Allocation Committee at Cellnex - where he is a member of the Nominations, Remunerations and Sustainability Committee – Benetton and Mundys - where he is also a member of the Investment Committee and the Audit, Risk, and Sustainability Committee.

Ms Dotto has worked for Edizione since February 2023, managing a number of the company’s equity stakes and investments. 

She began her professional career at Deloitte, where she spent four years in the Audit department, before joining the Transaction Advisory Services practice at EY, where she advised corporate clients and financial investors on M&A transactions, with a focus on risk assessment and identification of financial vulnerabilities. 

She later joined the Investment teams of Edizione (2017–2020) and Mundys (2020–2023), working on a range of transactions, including mergers, demergers and the acquisition and disposal of investments.  

She currently also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Telepass, where she is part of the Control, Risk and Sustainability Committee and the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee, and is Sole Director of Edizione Renewables.

She holds a Business Economics degree from the Ca’ Foscari University in Venice and a specialist degree in Management from the Luigi Bocconi Commercial University in Milan.

Graduated in Finance with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, he began his career as an Analyst with Simmons & Company International in Houston, where he focused on energy M&A advisory. He subsequently spent thirteen years at ArcLight Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on energy infrastructure investments in Boston, most recently as a Principal. During his time at ArcLight, he was involved in the origination, management and monetization of investments across the midstream, power and upstream sectors in North America and Europe and in the valuation and risk management of complex portfolios.

Since joining Blackstone in 2020, he has served as Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of European Investments in the Infrastructure group for Blackstone, based in London. Mr. Kuhnley has been involved in the management and/or execution of Blackstone Infrastructure’s investments, including Invenergy Renewables, Autostrade per l’Italia (ASPI), Mundys, QTS Europe, Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. and Tallgrass Energy. He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Mundys and Mundys’ subsidiary Abertis.

Mr. Schultz joined Blackstone’s Infrastructure Group in 2021, where he is a Managing Director based in London leading the origination, structuring, and management of significant investments in strategic European infrastructure companies including Mundys, Urbaser and Phoenix Tower International. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of Mundys (where he is Chairman of the Audit, Risk and Sustainability Committee), Aeroporti di Roma, and Oviedo Bidco (Urbaser). He is also a member of Blackstone Europe LLP in the United Kingdom.

He previously headed the North America Chemicals Practice and authored publications in the Bain CEO Sustainability Guide on monetizing decarbonization commitments. Throughout his career, he developed deep expertise in corporate transformation, cost optimization, operational risk management and supply chain vulnerabilities, and energy and environmental sustainability.  He has worked with clients across sectors including Chemicals, Aerospace and Defense, Semiconductors, Private Equity, and Financial Services. 

Since 2025, he has served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure Operations and Asset Management at Blackstone, where he leads the operational management and development of infrastructure portfolios, and since 2026, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Mundys. He is also a Board Member of Bloom, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and including people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through fitness and wellness programs.

Economist and policymaker with over forty years of experience in fiscal and macroeconomic risk management, the governance of public and private institutions, and the analysis of international economic policies.
After graduating in Economics and Banking from the University of Siena and earning a Master in Economics from the London School of Economics, he began his career at the Bank of Italy and ENI. From 1988 at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), he held senior roles in macroeconomic surveillance and country risk management, operating in contexts of financial crisis and sovereign debt across advanced, emerging, and developing economies. 

From 2008 to 2013, he served as Director of the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, supporting the implementation of public finance reforms. In 2013-2014, he was appointed Commissioner for the spending review in Italy, and from 2014 to 2017 as Executive Director at the IMF for Italy, Albania, Greece, Malta, Portugal, and San Marino.
From 2018 to 2022, he was Director of the Observatory on Italian Public Accounts at the Cattolica University of Milan. From June 2020 to September 2022, he was a member of Deloitte's North-South Europe Board, the principal governance body of the firm for the NSE region, with a mandate to promote ethical and responsible decision-making, ensure transparency and accountability toward stakeholders, and oversee corporate strategy and objectives. From late September 2022 to late May 2023, he served as a Senator of the Italian Republic, a position from which he resigned to lead the new Education Program for Economic and Social Sciences (PESES), aimed at promoting economic literacy among younger generations. Since October 2024, he has returned to direct the Observatory on Italian Public Accounts, within which PESES is now incorporated, strengthening the link between research and economic education.
 

Visiting Professor at Bocconi University from 2017 to 2020, he teaches Fiscal Macroeconomics at the Catholic University of Milan. He is the author of several books, including "Chimere, sogni e fallimenti dell'economia" (Feltrinelli, 2023), which also addresses themes related to the climate transition. He is a member of the Italy-USA Foundation and since March 2026 a Board Member of Mundys.
