Maimounata is married with a teenage son. Her entire family is originally from Burkina Faso, and they have lived in Nice since 2015.

We meet her right here at the airport as she prepares to leave with her son and return to Africa.

This is the third time in eight years that they have returned to their home country. It is very important for Maimounata to be able to keep relationships alive with all the family that has remained there, and to allow her grandparents to see her son grow up.
